The findings from the Investigative Unit have made front-page news in many of the world’s most respected newspapers including The Guardian, Mail on Sunday and Daily Telegraph in Britain, India’s Hindustan Times, Le Monde in France, El Pais in Spain, The Australian, The New York Times, Washington Post and USA Today.
Our work has dominated political coverage in South Africa, Namibia, the Maldives and Kenya.
We are proud to provide public interest journalism at its best.
While the investigation was largely ignored by the mainstream British media, its findings dominated online discourse for more than two months. It reached 3.6 million people online and #LabourFiles was ‘trending’ in the top 10 hashtags in the UK for several days.
The evidence presented in the investigation rewrote the recent political history of Britain. After watching the documentaries, journalist and author Peter Oborne noted that he felt “ashamed that I bought into the narrative about Jeremy Corbyn. I should have been a lot more careful and scrupulous about some of my journalism. Others could make the same assessment."
On social media, prominent British journalists described The Labour Files as “deeply shocking” and “one of the most important TV documentaries in recent years.”
While celebrating my 70th birthday on December 15, I heard from friends that Jewish Chronicle reporter Lee @lmharpin was claiming confirmation from "multiple sources" that I had been expelled from the Labour Party. Thread 1/5

I went on Al-Jaz night it aired 1st “Labour Files” doc. I said, w/ confidence, UK MSM wouldn’t cover it. They haven’t.

Why was I so certain? I’ve been in this long enuf to know few factions are more slavish servants of power than UK establishment journospic.twitter.com/vzlenEvLdS
My darling wife, B is watching Al Jazeera's #LabourFiles. In our four years of marriage, I have never heard her yell the word "CUNT!" so repeatedly as she has done whilst watching the four episodes.

One of the most important TV documentaries in recent years is 'The Labour Files' broadcast by Aljazeera. It reveals the smear and fabrication campaign within the UK Labour Party that destroyed Jeremy Corbyn. Watch journalist Asa Winstanley:https://t.co/1UdBDNSpOR

Extraordinary moment yesterday where a caller on LBC raises the Al Jazeera Labour Files and is abruptly taken off air. pic.twitter.com/CqzRaGob2c

Google "The Labour Files" -- that amazingly important investigation by Al Jazeera, into the Labour Party, which was published a few weeks ago and coincided with Labour's annual conference...
Then Google the word "detest", today.
Is it me or has the British media barely touched the #LabourFiles documentary by the @AJIunit . Not surprised, just disappointed

I've just watched Al Jazeera's The Labour Files: The Crisis, about the handling of anti-semitism allegations. I found it deeply shocking.
— George Monbiot (@GeorgeMonbiot) October 7, 2022
But I'm very unsure of myself on this issue. Have there been any rebuttals? Is there substantive evidence countering its claims?
Thank you.

It’s well overdue time to talk about the #LabourFiles

A corporate journalist mentioning Al Jazeera's 'The Labour Files' is like a dog walking on his hind legs. It is not done well, but you are surprised to find it done at all. #TheLabourFiles https://t.co/ZqJWeTb85i

This is the extraordinary Al Jazeera documentary on the Labour Party which I mention in my Mail on Sunday column today . Sorry about the foul language at the start. https://t.co/a6cc8apLYN

Every political journalist should watch the film & decide for themselves. I agree with Peter Oborne that the media - including us - should have looked into this far more. Trouble is every story in the saga was very complicated & disputed & it was hard to nail down the truth.

The Al Jazeera investigation should be all over tomorrow’s front pages and the media should be outside Keir Starmer’s house demanding action.

This program will shake the foundations of British democracy with state sponsored antisemitism, islamophobia, intelligence organisation involvement, and Labour Party Terrorism.
The Al-Jazeera documentary is a watershed moment for British politics. Terrifying. The Labour Party is under the control of unscrupulous thugs. It is vital they never get into power.

Make sure you watch tonight.
