The revelations about former Wales international Gary Speed’s alleged sexual abuse were widely reported by UK media outlets, including the Daily Mail, Mirror and Sunday Times.
The Daily Telegraph described the documentary as ‘historic’ and a “harrowing account of football authorities’ failure to tackle abuser Barry Bennell.’
Reporter Deborah Davies was asked to give evidence on the investigation’s findings to an independent enquiry set up by England’s Football Association.
The documentary was also broadcast simultaneously on Britain’s Channel 4 television.
