A four-month undercover operation finds that manufacturers are selling highly invasive spyware illegally to criminals, authoritarian regimes and groups listed as terrorist organizations.

An industry insider working for the I-Unit films the negotiation of several multi-million dollar deals that breach international sanctions.

The deals include the supply of highly restricted surveillance equipment to Iran and South Sudan. The undercover operative also secures an agreement to purchase powerful spyware from a company that has no idea who the client is and doesn’t care.

Anyone with $250,000 can purchase spyware capable of monitoring all communications to and from a large building, putting the privacy and safety of millions are risk.
